Techno/Big Beat: The Chemical Brothers are pioneers of the electronic music scene, their big beats and famous collaborations with guest vocalists through the years soundtracked most of the last decade of dance music. This package contains a movie as well as an audio-only disc and let me just say that if you're a fan of the Chemical Brothers, big beat or techno music alike, then go for this without a second thought.Leaving the video aside which isn't too exciting as it looks a bit grainy and abstract, the redeeming factor is CD of only the music, that stands well on its own without any distracting visuals. That is a far better proposition and worth the price of the package by itself. It is perfect for when you are having a party at home and feel the need for some uptempo stuff. Highlights are the bombastic bass of Horse Power, the old classic Block Rockin' Beats, Surrender and standards like Hey Boy Hey Girl and Out of Control. Of the newer stuff, Swoon gets my thumbs up, but Do It Again and Get Yourself High sound like fairly standard stuff. All in all though, a worthy addition to the Chemical's canon.
